Heaven meets Hell at Kawah Ijen / by Supreet Kaur

Kawah Ijen is an active volcano standing tall at 8530 feet in East Java, Indonesia. Inside the crater of the volcano lies the largest sulfuric acid lake in the world (650 feet deep). Exquisitely pristine looking, the lake is the most toxic water body, with a pH level of less than 0.3 and the crater is the site of a gruelingly labor-intensive sulfur mining operation.

This is a real life hell and it smells of sulphur!
